Hello, all of you wonderful human beings!! 🌷
I’m a bit shaky, and my fingers are trembling as I type these words, because I just received an email I never, ever, in my wildest dreams* would have expected to receive, and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed—in the best way possible.
*is this a Taylor Swift reference? You decide.
But let me start from the beginning.
The first few days of October, and the end of September, have been an incredibly nerve-wracking, and anxiety-riddled time for me. So many things happened, both in real life, and my bookish life, and I am both nervous and exhilarated to fill you in on what’s been going on.
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve probably seen me tweet about my first practical uni exam this semester. I was incredibly anxious for days prior to it, and had a minor anxiety attack right before the exam, but thankfully, everything went well.
Thank you so, so much for all the well wishes!! 💗
Words can’t express how much they meant to me—I read a lot of them before the exam, and they really helped so much in calming me. I passed with a 100%, and I couldn’t be happier. I truly feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart!
I’m joining my first (two) official book tours, one of them for Empress of All Seasons!! I’m beyond grateful and so honored to have been chosen to participate in this blog tour. I’ve been so excited to read this book ever since I first heard of it, seeing as 1) it’s an Asian (!!!) Fantasy, and 2) the plot sounds fantastic?? Also, NetGalley’s restrictions for international readers and bloggers make it really hard for me to get even a digital ARC, so being able to do this blog tour is such an amazing opportunity all around.
I had the honor of being interviewed by the lovely Noura for her blogger feature, and you can find it here! Thank you so much for having me on your blog, Noura! 💕
Now, the news you’ve all been waiting for, ever since you read the title of my blog post (I presume, but, you know, I could be wrong); I received the most exciting news in the form of an email only today, saying that … I’ll be receiving my first physical ARCs soon(-ish?). From a publisher in the US.
I have no words. I am ALL of these wonderful people, including Phoebe.
A million thanks to Evelina, who’s been so encouraging, and really pushed me to try my luck. :’)
Yes, I sacrificed sleep, reading, and study time to watch TV shows. And regretted it sorely, afterwards.
(Everything was Not Fine.)
- Remember when I said I may have possibly come to love Brooklyn Nine-Nine more than Friends? Well, I retract that statement. Friends still has too big a portion of my heart.
- The Good Place is back! I really enjoyed the new episode, but moreover, I love the actress who plays Tahini, Jameela Jamil, and you should listen to this interview/podcast, because it’s just … incredible, and oh-so inspiring.
binge-watched Dynasty with Kat, Marie, and Marta, and it was so much fun! And it was so great to see such strong, and self-assured women on screen. Also, we were all living for the Drama.
How has your October been so far?
Any plans for the weekend?
What are some TV shows you love? 💗
