Monthly Wrap-Up August // Sprinkles of Dreams

August Wrap-Up // Books, Books, Books

Happy first of September! 🍂
And a special happy back to Hogwarts to all the Potterheads. ⚡️☺️💞

It’s been hailing all day, and all I want to do is snuggle up in my bed, and never leave again.

Sleepy // Sprinkles of Dreams

I took it upon me to read a lot of books in August, because I’m back to being a full-time student this month (yes, my anxiety is sky-high just thinking about it 😭), and even though my course load isn’t going to be as heavy as it’ll be in the following months*, I definitely won’t have as much time to read as I had during the summer.

*I already see myself going MIA for the rest of the year after September, blogging-wise.

BUT LET’S FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE.

    • Malanie and Elizabeth created a wonderful tag called Blogging Buddies and Books, which is all about spreading the blogger love, and I absolutely adore it.
    • Marty wrote an incredibly helpful post that tells you everything you should know about ARCs, and if you’re an INTL blogger like I am, you should definitely check it out! 🙂
    • Aimee compiled a list featuring her most anticipated Young Adult book releases in September, and got me so excited about so many of them. It was also her birthday this month, so send some love her way! 💗
    • Sophie invited us all to join the O.W.L.s read-a-thon, and my Harry Potter loving self actually decided to do it?? Even though I’m usually not a fan of read-a-thons?? (I’m going to let you in on which books I’m planning on reading for it sometime next week! 😊)

How was your August? 💗
Any books you are excited about reading in September?
(Anyone want to reassure me that I’m not alone in feeling disproportionate-to-the-situation-dread at the prospect of starting uni??)

What’s one thing that made you happy today?
(Let’s spread some positivity together!!)

xx, Lily

  1. Happy September, Lily! 💗 Ahh, good luck in uni and with all your classes! You can do it; I believe in you. ☺️ I started my last year of high school on August 9th, and it’s been pretty stressful (since I have college apps on top of advanced classes 😅). I’m really sad that I haven’t made a blog post since July, but I’m going to try to post at least once in September. But anyways! One thing that made me happy today was going to get boba (bubble tea) with my friend. 😊 I don’t go out too often but it was fun chatting with her today (and working on a project). I hope you had a great day today too!

    1. Oh, thank you so, so much, Dezzy! I really appreciate it. 💗

That sounds really intimidating, but I’m sure you’ll do great, and I have absolute faith in you!! Do you already have colleges in mind? ☺️

I’ve actually checked your blog not too long ago, because I thought I’d missed your posts, but ahh don’t worry about it & we’ll all be here when you’re back. 🤗

Bubble Tea is so good!! 😍 & I’m so happy to hear that you had a nice time with your friend! 😊

Thanks so much for your sweet message, I hope your September is wonderful, and everything at school doesn’t get too overwhelming. 💫💕

      1. Aww, thank you so much for your kindness and support, Lily! That honestly means a lot to me. 💞 Yeah, I’ve already compiled a list of colleges to apply to! Most of them are in California, since I live here, but a couple are on the East Coast (of the US) and other cities on the West Coast. ☺️

Ahh, thank you so much for checking up on my blog, I really appreciate it! And I’m so happy to hear that; I’m hoping to post again soon. 🙈 And ikr, bubble tea is the best; I love it so much. 😋

        1. Of course!! That sounds great, I’m crossing my fingers for you, Dezzy! ✨🤞🏻

I relate to that feeling! But honestly, “real life” always comes first, and should. 😌

YES, if it weren’t so unhealthy, I’d love to have it all day. 🙈 What’s your favorite flavor? 💓

    1. It’s mostly because I was on summer break, and had more free time — but I’ve been asked this a lot, so if you want, I could write a blog post about it & go into more detail regarding how I “schedule” in reading time &c.. ☺️

Aw thank you so much, Sarika! You’re too kind. 😭 Happy September, I hope you have a great month! 💖

  2. You had A MONTH, babe! And like… I’ve been eyeing Foolish Hearts on my shelves for a while now…. so… I might have to pick up sooner than later! Also, I love you so much and thank you so much for another buddy read with me. Seriously, Lil, I am so blessed to call you my friend. Happy September and happy reading, love! 💖xx
