The Mystery Blogger Award

Mystery Blogger Award ๐ŸŽ— // On Book Boyfriends, Maltipoos & My Indecisiveness

Hi, guys! I hope you’re all having a wonderful Saturday. ๐ŸŒท

I’ve been procrastinating on so many tags and nomination posts, and I thought it was time I finally caught up on some, and answered your questions. This is the second award I was nominated for last month, and I’m so, so excited about it!

3 Things About Me

I love puppies, and I’d love to own a Maltipoo one day, because they’re smol and precious and fill my heart with pure sunshine and happiness. (In case you don’t know what they look like & are planning on googling them; be prepared to die of an overload of adorableness.)

I play the piano.ย ๐ŸŽน I started playing when I was around four or five years old, started taking piano lessons when I was around seven or eight, and ended up playing it competitively all through middle school and high school.ย I also got to travel quite a bit for concerts and competitions, and I loved it.

I’m really bad at making decisions, because I always overthink everything. You’ll very likely notice it in future posts and tags of mineโ€”I hardly ever answer a question with a simple yes or no, and having (too many) options is the equivalent of a nightmare for me.

Unique Blogger Award - My Answers

I decided to pick a total of five questions I selected from each nomination post, instead of answering all ten questions, since I like to retain some of my mystery. :^)ย Look at me being a lil(y) rebel! (May didn’t appreciate my pun, but I’m sure you guys have a better sense of humor.)

01. If money was no issue, what one thing you would want to do?

I … donโ€™t see how money not being an issue relates to my wanting to do things? But if I had the means, Iโ€™d travel the world, buy as many books as possible (and send all my recommendations to you in form of physical copies!!), spoil my family & friends, and donate to charities.

I’d also start my own publishing company to support authors who promote diversity, and getย May, Marie, Savannah, May, and Kat‘s books published. Basically, I’ve been stalking all of your WIPs & I love them.

02. Whatโ€™s your biggest bookish pet peeve?

I love so many bookstagrams, but I also get so much anxiety because of them, whenever I see coffee cups placed on bare book pages, or when the covers of paperbacks are wrapped all the way around the book spines, so โ€ฆ really, anything that makes books end up looking worn.

03. Elephants or giraffes?

The elephant emoji is one of the most adorable animal emojis there is, letโ€™s be honest. ๐Ÿ˜

04. Who are your Top 3 Book Boyfriends or Girlfriends?

Lazlo Strange from Strange the Dreamer, Magiano from The Young Elitesย series, andย Day aka. Daniel Altan Wing from the Legend series.

05.ย Using those top three, choose which one youโ€™d want to make out with, one youโ€™d marry, and one youโ€™d have to kill.

I refuse to answer on the grounds ofย indecisivenessย unwillingness.

  1. You play piano, love the elephant emoji, AND have a crush on Lazlo? Oh my gosh, you’re my favorite of all-time! Thank you for the tag, love! I can’t wait to do it! Happy reading! ๐Ÿ’—xx

  2. I am a known over thinker. I like to think about options, then think about what I think about options, then what others may think of options, what they may think of me thinking of options… and it goes on and on. Iโ€™m working on it. And itโ€™s getting better with time but I still have some… moments. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I do like using emojis.. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒŸ

  3. Lazlo was my first and one true book boyfriend (I have high standards)๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ no one has yet to top him ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ though Magiano is also a babe (and deserves more hype โคโค)

I wouldn’t call myself indecisive… I am just a really intense sub categorizer which then leads me to take forever and a day to make said decision… so I choose my battles carefully ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. I’m the same way, haha & yess, Lazlo is so dreamy [pun intended ๐Ÿ™ƒ]!! Magiano honestly deserves all the hype in the world, I don’t see him lauded for his soft heart and how much he cared for and protected Adelina enough. My heart went out to him during the entire bonding-Enzo-to-Adelina debacle, rip.

Ohh that’s me!! Except for being able to choose my battles. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  4. Oh my gooooood … I cannot even right now. The fact that you would publish Arcadia just made my heart melt โค It means the world to me that you said that! But even if you didn't list me as an example, I would be in 100% support of you getting a publishing company. Why don't we just get money to do the things we love??

  5. You’d really publish my book if you opened your own publishing company??? fjwofhwgnw ~ you know I love you, right? I would’ve expected May, Marie, Kat, and all the others but ME? I do not deserve this praise my queen*gets down on knees* i thank you from the bottom of my heart

  6. OMG. I knew you play the Piano but I didn’t know that it was for that long, Do you have anything we can listen to online?
    – I love emojis but I am careful in using them because some people misinterpret them, One of my fav is the caterpillar emoji!
    – I have a thought in progress because I haven’t started working on it yet.
    – And We have a husky and he’s so cute, but I prefer smaller dogs, and I love my tortoises!

    1. Did I tell you about it? If so, I completely forgot about it, haha. I think there are a few televised recordings floating around the internet, but I’m not sure where & I’m trying to retain my privacy. ๐Ÿ™‰

I feel the exact opposite way! A part of why I like using emojis is that I tend to be sarcastic, and adding emojis makes it easier to realize that I am in text.

Is it the Cinderella retelling? ๐Ÿ˜

Ahhh I love huskies, they’re so beautiful! I prefer smaller dogs for myself as well, though, because ::cuddling::. And omg that’s adorable, please send me pictures sometime.

      1. No you didn’t tell me but I think you wrote somewhere in your bio or GR that you are a pianist. And sorry I didn’t mean to pry into your privacy ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

I used to use them less but then a friend once told me that I am so cold and clinical and that I should use more emojis, lol! You’re always roasting me with added emojis so that’s a double hit.

Yes, it is. I can’t find the time to start writing it but I bought a notebook and I guess I will start soon!

I will try to upload them because they’re smol and cute :O

        1. It’s all right. ๐Ÿ™‚

Haha, that’s true. It’s how I show my affection!! I only roast people I consider to be my friends. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

That’s so cool. I honestly prefer writing on my laptop, because I go back to re-write sentences so often.

          Can’t wait!!

          1. Oh that’s good to hear I guess?!

I prefer a mix between the old-fashioned way and the modern technology, I will write the first thoughts and will do brain storming on my notebook and the actual thing on my laptop.

I will try taking pics tomorrow, since they are asleep now!

  7. I loved reading this post! It’s always so fun to get to know bloggers better.๐Ÿ˜ŠI’m also so indecisive…and oh my goodness, maltipoos are adorable! As for the emojis in texts, I actually enjoy using them! I do use them sparingly, but I use the laughing-crying one and the hearts and the thumbs up all the time. What about you?

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Awh, thank you so much, Olivia! ๐Ÿ’“ I love reading these kinds of post from other bloggers, but I always feel like “why would anyone care?”, when I’m posting them, to be honest. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Maltipoos are the cutest creatures on earth! For me, it depends on whom I’m texting, and the context. But in general, I definitely love using emojis, and receiving messages with emojis (not too many, though), because it immediately makes the message seem so much more friendly. โ˜บ๏ธ

  8. AWW I never noticed but the elephant emoji is so cute!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜I’m currently reading The Young Elites, so I’m hoping to meet Magiano soon too โค I absolutely loved the Legend series and agree that Day is AMAZING~ I love the bookish pet peeve you choose too! My best friend is a bookstagrammer and I love her aesthetic feed so much, but it gives me so much anxiety to see all her beautiful books and white sheets next to a cup of tea!!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Ahhh The Young Elites is one of my all-time favorite series! I hope you are loving it & I’m here if you need to rant. โค & Magiano appears in the second book, I can't wait for you to meet him.

I love how we agree on so many things. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’—

  9. I also sometimes have anxiety when I look at bookstagrams but for a slightly different reason! People take such pretty pics of books and it sometimes makes me think, “Oh man, if I want to be a book blogger, *I* need to be buying all the physical books and taking all the pretty pictures too.” Which obviously isn’t true! But it’s a mindset that can be occasionally be hard to avoid.

And I totally approve of your pun game! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ’“

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Ohh definitely, I admire them so much! A bookstagrammer I follow recently said that one picture takes her three hours to shoot & edit, and I’m honestly in awe still. And I completely understand where you’re coming from! I hope you manage to steer clear of these kinds of thoughts most of the time. ๐Ÿ’•

Haha awh, that is so sweet of you, Kathy! ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

      Liked by 1 person

  10. LILY I’m crying ahhhhh. You would really publish my WIP?! This means the world to me that you think that, thank you so, so much for thinking of me, you’re the sweetest and way too precious, what did I ever do to deserve you ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
I find it so great that you play the piano, I love piano and if there is one instrument I’d wish to play, I think it’d be that one.
And yes yes yes, the elephant emoji is the cutest ever, I agree! ๐Ÿ˜€

    Congrats on the award!

  12. If you have more money, can you support my books too, I’m working on a fantasy trilogy… hahaha…

And one if the questions is rude… Letting you choose 3 book boyfriends then kill one of them… hahaha…I would be unwilling to answer that one too. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
    I enjoyed all your answers..
