The Unique Blogger Award

The Unique Blogger Award 🎗 // In Which I Tell You All My Secrets …

image… or, you know, a few of them.

But before we get to the secret-spilling part, as you can probably tell by the title of this blog post; I was nominated for The Unique Blogger Award!

I am beyond flattered and appreciate it a lot—thank you so much for nominating me, Becky @ Velvet Spade Reads. 💕

rules

  1. Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  2. Answer the questions.
  3. In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  4. Ask them three questions.

Unique Blogger Award - My Answers

01. Would you rather live in a big city or on a secluded mountain top?

Big city. Besides the fact that I have exactly zero (0) life skills to survive on a secluded mountain top—where would I get my much needed supply of books from? Though staying in a cozy cabin on a secluded mountain top doesn’t sound too bad, at least for a little while.*

Rosa Diaz Annoyed Eye-Roll*Actual footage of me, whenever I get interrupted while I’m reading/writing/listening to music/breathing.

02. You have front row seats and back stage passes to any concert in history.
What show are you going to see?

I’m going to take the term “concert” very liberally, and say Hamilton.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is just such a genius, and the entire Hamilton cast is so amazingly talented, and wonderful, and I still get goosebumps whenever I watch one of their live performances. I don’t think I’ll ever stop gushing about it.

And just in case you a) don’t love it (yet) or b) don’t know what I’m talking about, what have you been doing with your life?? watch this [starts at 09:03] and this & fall in love with it. I’ll see you on the other side. :’)

Hamilton The Musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda(@ everyone who loves Hamilton as well; message me and let’s scream about it together!! 💓)

03. What fictional character would you absolutely never want to run into in real life?

It’s someone whose name I’d rather not say out loud … I think you all know whom I’m referring to. magic wandUnique Blogger Award - My Nominations

  1. Oh my goodness – Hamilton is SUCH A GOOD ANSWER! I have the cast recording and I listen to it often, but alas, I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing the live show 😦 I don’t have the $$$$$ or I suppose the connections to make that happen. The show did pass through Denver not too long ago but those tickets sold out in about 3 seconds – I know because I tried to get some and FAILED. 🙂 Happy Monday Lily!! ❤

Hamilton is such a good musical, I wish it’d come to Europe. 😩 Ahh I’m sorry those tickets sold out so fast and you couldn’t get one. 😦 Maybe next time? 🍀

I hope you had a great start into the week!! xx

  2. Yesss I would love to hang backstage at Hamilton too! One of my friends is actually friends with Leslie Odom Jr and so he got to hang out with the Hamilton people a lot and when I asked if I could join (if I ever visited NYC) he wouldn’t answer me. lol. I finally saw the show last November (waited an entire year between buying the ticket and actually seeing the show) and while it wasn’t the original cast it was still SO GOOD. Have you seen it??

    1. I can’t believe I’m meeting so many Hamilton fans?? I’m so excited you love it as well, Elissa!! :’)

Ahhh you are so, so lucky, and I’m super happy your patience paid off and you enjoyed the show!! And wow, that is obviously not a true friend, and you should shun him. (Just kidding. Or am I. 🙃)

I haven’t seen it (yet?), but chances are very slim I’ll ever get to. 😔

  3. I loved reading your answers to this! HAMILTON YES YES HAMILTON! I would 10000% pick that as well. 😉 Also, did you mean to make the reference “I’ll see you on the other side” because as soon as I read that I began to sing, “till we meet again!” Hamilton has messed with my brain, haha.

    1. Ahhh I’m very flattered & happy you did!! Thanks, Olivia! 😊

YES, YES I DID, you’re the first one who noticed!! I wasn’t sure if anyone would catch it. And I relate—I find Hamilton references everywhere, even when they don’t exist, haha.

      It’s okay, we’re dedicated fans!! 💘

  4. Ahh congratulations on the award Lily, and thank you so, so much for the nomination, you’re so sweet ❤ ❤ I'm also a city kind of person, I wouldn't survive on a secluded mountain either ahaha, I couldn't.

  5. Hamilton is the freaking best!! I was extremely fortunate, my friend’s family got us tickets to see the Sunday cast in Chicago and it was my first musical live on stage and it was BRILLIANT.

Also love B99! That last episode had me gross sobbing. Great post!

      1. It wasn’t the original cast BUT everyone was still gorgeous and amazing! And the fellow playing Hamilton, Joseph Morales, was EXTREMELY fab, as good as Lin I thought. I looked him up after and he has some cute vids on Vimeo including one of his pup and other puppers in a park set to Cat Stevens’ “I Love My Dog” so he’s now a HUGE fave 😀

  6. I’d like to say that I would choose the mountains because I’m not a city person at all, but I’m also not a middle of nowhere person so I would cheat and find a house right in between! And yes! I’ve been wanting to see Hamilton since forever. There having a show in DC near me but the only tickets available are $700! I wish broke college student me could give that much money for a musical. But alas.

  7. I had very similar thoughts when I read the answers to your questions. I think I’d like the tranquility and beauty of a secluded mountain top for all of one day and then I would crave the modern comforts, easy way to get around and maybe also people after that haha
Thanks so much for nominating and posing such interesting questions!

    1. You 1000% deserve it!! & YOU ARE NOT A BAD BLOGGER, I FORBID YOU TO REPEAT THAT. And I didn’t get a pingback when you tagged me for the 20 questions post either??

It was someone whose name starts with L and who likes mangoes, but her brand are peach emojis. She has a cute face, but is a meanie, but I still love her.
